Record Military Mechanical Wristwatch

Record manual winding nickel plated brass case British Military www wristwatch.
The British Military commissioned a few manufacturers to supply them with www watches.
The WWW acronym stands for Waterproof Wristwatch.
Issued to service personnel towards the end of World War 2, the War Department
procured the first serious Military wristwatches destined for the British Armed forces.

Over the years a variety of makers were then responsible for assembling these watches
which had few external differences... manufacturers such as Record, Cyma, Vertex, Timor
Eterna and Omega.

They all feature Matt Black dials, Bold markings, Broad sword hands, fixed bars and
subsidiary seconds at the six o'clock position.
The movements were all of High Quality 15 jewel design, the backs were screw design
embellished with the British Broad arrow marking.
