Genuine MoD Surplus High Power Microwave Amplifiers
Manufactured by Matra Marconi Space these amplifiers were originally designed as Satellite Uplink Amplifiers
for use in the 7.8Ghz to 8.2Ghz Microwave Band.

They exhibit High RF output powers with low level RF drive and operate on 2 x 12V DC Power supplies.

We don't have any info re the complete amplifiers... but specs for the High Power Mosfet transistors can be
obtained from the Web... including the device manufacturer Toshiba.

We have sold several amplifiers to Radio Amateurs who are converting for use on the 5Ghz and 10Ghz Amateur Bands
but cannot supply any info regarding this conversion at this time. Detailed articles are hopefully going to be
made available in the near future when the conversion details are finalised.

We have however got only 5 amplifiers in stock and so have decided to make them available on a first come
first served basis without documentation to those who wish to experiment.

Please note that the Final RF devices included are available New from US and Far eastern suppliers at
around $300 EACH... and there are 6 of them in each amplifier.
The total cost of the semiconductor devices in this amplifier alone is in excess of $2000 !
