This picture of our Military Museum
shows what many say is the rarest example of WW2 Radio equipment they have ever seen...
this R1155 Receiver and R1154 Transmitter combination have the complete service history
with them... showing that they were used on board a Lancaster of 617 squadron..
The famous "Dambusters Squadron" of WW2.
We cannot be sure if this pair were ever used in active service, but the possibility is there.

As part of the collection we also have examples of British and American Radio navigation aids as
well as a MINT example of the "new" radio navigation box from a Douglas Dakota DC3.

Many of the exhibits were still BOXED when we received them, and are kept firmly under
lock and key and will never be loaned out of the museum for any reason.
Some of this equipment is now so rare that very few examples are available anywhere out of
museums. Radio equipment from our collection has been used by:
BBC TV, CENTRAL TV, Yorkshire TV to name but a few..
If you live in the UK you cannot have missed some of this equipment on TV...
BOON, Peak Practice, Heartbeat, "The Radio Ham" have all used exhibits for Original props.

Why not come along yourself and have a close look at some of the exhibits...
Bring a camera too !!
