Night Vision equipment is composed of three types of equipment:

Thermal Imaging... The "newest" technology  which detects the Infra-Red
emissions given off by the Human Body and other objects.
Still in the forefront of technology and VERY VERY Expensive

Image Intensification... Developed mainly in the 70's and 80's this type
of equipment simply AMPLIFIES the available light many 1000's of times..
so STARLIGHT becomes as clear as DAYLIGHT. Still used in the forces
but now being released to the public..  (especially since the ending of the Cold War)
Now available reasonably priced ...see stock items below

Infra Red....  Developed originally in the 1950's this technology relies 100%
on picking up Infra Red light which is reflected from and object being viewed...
This means that the object MUST be Illuminated with Infra Red light !!!
The cheapest solution and very useful for certain requirements. (see below)
Now very old and outdated technology

The Built version and the DIY kit both use a genuine Military surplus Image Intensifier tube and
feature Rechargeable batteries, interchangeable C mount lens facility and Ultra Efficient
Infra Red LED's for when you need to see in TOTAL DARKNESS.
